![Day 13 of 100 – I Stopped Paying for Invoicing Tools. I Built My Own.
Today’s build:
After years of freelancing and consulting, I realized I was only using third-party invoicing tools for one purpose—sending invoices. So, I decided to create my own AI-powered solution, and it took a fraction of the time compared to what it would have a year ago.
Here’s what it does:
✦ Create and send invoices
✦ Track payment status
✦ Email directly to clients
✦ Customize invoice templates
✦ Recurring invoices
✦ Automated client follow-ups
Clean. Simple. Mine.
What’s more interesting is that I no longer manually create invoices. I simply instruct my AI assistant, “Create an invoice for [client] for [amount].” Done. No forms or menu navigation—just voice commands, and it takes care of everything. The AI assistant feature will transform how you think about building personal tools.
Now, some may raise concerns about security and scalability, and that’s a valid point. However, for personal use, this solution meets all my needs on a secured platform.
Here’s the bigger picture:
We are entering the era of App Studios. Just as web design studios flourished in the 2010s, a similar shift is occurring with apps now. The barrier to building has disappeared.
